3 Nepalis arrested in India
Three Nepali nationals have been arrested with stolen diamond worth IC
Rs. 20 million from Durg district of Chhattisgarh state in India, Indian
media reported.
ASP of the district Prashant Thakur informed that the arrestee have been identified as Pashupati Nath, 30, Birendra Bahadur, 25, and Subash Khadka, 28. A 13.11 carat diamond and a platinum ring weighing 6.9 gram was confiscated from them, Indian media said quoting ASP Thakur. The ring is valued at IC Rs. 35,000.
It is understood that the trio had sneaked into the Indian district in search of a buyer after stealing the diamond. Based on a tip-off, they were nabbed at Radhika Nagar, Durg.
Police has been investigating the case.
