Ram Baran Yadav urges leaders to forge consensus
President Ram Baran Yadav has urged the leaders of the political
parties to forge consensus and end the current constitutional vacuum
that surfaced after the dissolution of Constituent Assembly (CA).
Hosting a tea reception at his official residence in Sheetal Niwas on Sunday morning, the president stressed on the need of consensus among the parties at the earliest.
President Yadav urged the political leaders to understand the gravity of the present situation and act responsibly to find a way out of the current political crisis.
Speaking to media persons after the meet, UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal said that the president was concerned about the present political situation. He said that he assured the president, as a leader of the largest political party, he had been taking initiatives to hold parleys with other parties to end the political stalemate.
