Baidya meets Dahal
Three weeks after breaking away from UCPN (Maoist), CPN-Maoist Chairman
Mohan Baidya met with Pushpa Kamal Dahal, at the latter’s residence on
Sunday. This is their first meeting after the break up.
The duo discussed on the situation of the parties after the split along with the issues of budget and party unison. According to Dahal’s aide, Shiva Khakurel, Dahal said that party should not have split.
Dahal and Baidya also discussed on controlling the clashes between the cadres of the parties across the nation. According to sources, the two Maoist chairpersons agreed to form a workforce to study about the ownership of party offices across the nation.
Cadres of the two Maoist parties have been exchanging blows on the issue of party office ownership at places like Chitwan and so forth.
UCPN (Maoist) Standing Committee member Krishna Bahadur Mahara and CPN-Maoist Secretary Dev Gurung were also present in the meeting.
