"kicks off Internation-al Karate competition "

                 Vikranta Sampat and Ayush Goyal secured the quarter-finals berth in the men’s open Kata competition at the Sixth Internation-al Karate competition that kicked off at the covered hall of Nepal Sports Council, Tripureshwor, on Thursday. Likewise, Saikat Hanna, Luvkush Golker, Suvasish Dhanpath and Tanme Sinha also sailed to the quarterfinals in the 45kg and 35kg weight categories respectively. In women’s category, Sushmita Das and Indija Mohanti made it to the semifinals while Indija Mohanti and Tejaswini Nandad also reached the semifinals in the open weight category.
